Today I recieved my preview copies of Unremarable In Light from my publisher. I had no idea how much joy I would feel with having the finished product in my hands. It feels amazing to get to this point and to have this physical proof of my efforts and my passion for the story. If you can imagine being so happy you might cry that is where I am today. Truly an elevating realization that I am exactly where I should be and I am blessed in my life for the gifts I've been given. I have moved today from "Pen In Hand" to "Book In Hand" and I remind myself today to be humble and thankful.
There are of course a few more steps in the process before Unremarkable in Light becomes available for retail sales. I am reminded however that life is about the journey and not the destination.
There is a pile of incomplete poetry on my desk and an article needing to be edited as well as a few other small demands so I may not mire my thoughts with feelings of pride or allow myself to stagnate as long as I have work to do. But for today I am sitting back with a glass of wine and a fine sense of accomplishment. Life is good today, life is good any day I have either a pen or a book in my hands.
